A fun session in pretty ‘messy’ conditions at South Shields in the North East of the UK. We were expecting good conditions but higher than expected winds altered things. A lack of clean wave faces made ‘Bongo’ surfing the easiest bet!
cheap sit on top, sit in, ocean and fishing kayaks

Glad you liked the vid. Water not too bad…mid/late in the season is OK. Late winter/spring is totally freezing though ! Music is from Blind Melon. A very under-rated band.

Hi, I dont have any formal surf kayak qualifications, I just have a general white water 3-star BCU certificate. I am happy surfing pretty much anything in a kayak (although I may swim in bigger stuff!). I’ve got some good footage of a couple of ‘big days’ kayaking at S.Sheilds from Oct but I havent edited it yet.

Looks like yet another part of kayak heaven!

Check out the BCU website. There is a directory on there. Just contact the clubs that you like the sound of. The season is not closed! The premier big-meet of the season is next weekend at Tyne green Hexam…the famous Tyne Tour!
